More About Jodie

This tall svelte miss has not had very much human interaction in her short life. And sees no reason to trust humans. She is learning trust and companionship is a calm household right now. When she learns that people are good and that she has a happy play-filled life in her future she may be just the companion you’ve been looking for. Watch this space!

The adoption fee for Jodie has been paid by a generous donor, ask your Matchmaker!

Updates

UPDATE 9/4/2024: Jodie is a ray of sunshine and learning so much every day. She loves her foster brothers and sister and they love her. Never enough playtime. She’s slowly learning what people are all about and maybe she can trust them. She’s not ready yet adoption but check back for updates. She’s a gem!

UPDATE 1/10/2025: Jodie continues to great each morning with joy and has such a cute smile. Loves to be outside running and playing with her foster brothers and sisters. She also has quite the mischievous side and learned from her foster brother and sister how to pick those nice ripe tomatoes off the vine because they are just too wonderful to resist. Jodie has learned how to go on walks and jumps around very excited when it’s time to explore the world. Jodie had a rough start with little human handling or love. She also came to Col Potter with a leg that required surgery and some extra healing time. She has a slight limp but that does not slow her down one bit. She had one of the top Vet surgeons in the country and a great physical therapy regime so no worries there. Jodie is so happy to be out of pain, out of a crate all the time, clean and loved and lots to eat. Joining her foster pals watching the neighborhood and patrolling the yard are daily highlights. And she’ll even give you little kisses when she’s being loved on. But she will require a special home. She needs another friendly dog or two to play with – this is a must because she knows and trusts dogs. Humans are still a concern and any home will need to be patient and kind and give her time to continue to build a bond with you and trust you. Enrolling Jodie in basic obedience and then building on that with Reactive Dog classes would go a long way toward building that bond and easing her fears around people. Jodie is a great dog who still has so much growing to do and if you’re the right household, you’ll be rewarded 100 times over.
