Danny Boy
More About Danny Boy
This tiny bundle of courage was found on the tough streets of the city, too terrified to let anyone near him. When he came into Col. Potter, he was scared, shut down, and untouchable.
But what a difference 10 days can make! Danny Boy now jumps up on the couch and gently lays his head in my hands for some much-deserved love. He’s discovering the simple joys of toys and treats—and it’s heartwarming to see his tail wag with delight. He’s still hesitant with new people and afraid of the leash, but we’re working on it, one small step at a time.
His gorgeous fur had to be shaved due to severe matting, but it will grow back in no time. Right now, he’s undergoing heartworm treatment, so he won’t be available for adoption for a few more months.
With time, patience, and love, Danny Boy is learning that people can be kind and life can be safe. This little guy is well on his way to becoming the sweet and loving companion he was always meant to be.
