More About Jane Canary

Introducing to the pet world…Jane Canary! Miss Jane (foster mumma calls me CJ) is very brave, active and happy! She is so entertaining and funny, sure to make you laugh out loud when you see her play with her toys and chews and spins like a top for her dinner. (circus dog style) She is getting along great with her foster siblings and has learned to bark and not to bark with foster mumma’s direction.

Jane Canary is healthy, can run like the wind and loves the outdoors. Her potty training is progressing since she started communicating with a barking chorus of “can I go outside?” Jane’s coat is a variegated yarn of many colors and with added sunlight she is a real beauty! Jane is a brave girl, but she is overwhelmed and not trusting human touch, so she stays a safe distance away from her foster mom. Recently, she has started to take treats, but it is a slow process. Her rewards are simple; a smile and a “good girl”. Even though she is not currently a ‘lap dog’ she is a valued member of the pack. Happy and eager to please.

Updates

UPDATE 56/2024: Hi everybody, I’m Jane Canary, otherwise known as “CJ”. Fosssa mumma asked me to tell you about myself. I am pretty much potty trained, it has been weeks since I had an accident. I learned how to talk to my mumma by barking. If I bark at her, she lets me outside. Works every time! I am a happy girl, my tail is held high, and I have a gait like the best Cairn terriers have, but only if I am walking more slowly; otherwise all 4 paws are off the ground! I don’t climb on the furniture and I really enjoy my crate with my blankie or a cuddle bed. You see, I am afraid of humans. I don’t care to be touched or held, I will however tolerate it for short amounts of time. I am trying very hard to trust, so I will need your patience. Actually, I am not afraid of much else, except I do not like that cord that mumma hooks to my harness. I don’t want to walk that close to her. I like to steal toys and chewies when my foster brother or sister isn’t looking…..sneaky….yes! I spin like a ballerina (or a circus doggie) when food is served. I toss my toys and catch them or run after them, I am my own ball team! I like my foster siblings and I think I would like to have a brother or sister in my new home. I am not bossy. I am easy to care for and my fossa mumma is laughing loudly everyday…..she says I am funny!

Do you and your doggie need a companion, entertainment, and a reason to open the door to the great outdoors?

I am ready……please tell that matchmaker person you would like to learn about me.

Thank you, bark, bark!
