Shep - I am Not Ready
I'm not ready for adoption
I have the bounce and energy of a puppy but I am very scared you may get mad at me. I may curl up and hunker down for a little bit or roll over so you can rub my tummy. I have loads of love to give and am hoping to find a forever home that wants to love me and hang out. Now that I'm getting more comfortable in my in-between home I like talking to my foster mum. It's critical I let her know I'm ready for dinner and maybe she should hurry it up. Foster mum says my howly happy talk is enchanting. I'm learning to be on squirrel patrol with my foster sister Duffy. However, she doesn't like it when I barrel over her or beat her to the tennis ball. She and I had a few "words". Foster mum has now hidden the tennis balls. I get five gold stars for good toilette habits...so long as there is no carpet. I eat and sleep really well. I love it that I can sleep on the bed. I feel so loved and happy. Maybe I will be able to trust I can be safe and don't need to be scared if left alone.
