Luscious Lemon Iced Shortbread and Brookies

I have to admit, I am a confirmed chocoholic but having recently found this Lemon Iced Shortbread cookie recipe has altered (a tiny bit) my love of chocolate! But because I couldn’t forget the chocolate, the Brookies are added to make the festively wrapped for the holidays box complete! Brookies are a combination of brownie and chocolate chip cookie. It makes perfect sense when you can’t decide which one you’d rather have–now you can have both!

Baked in a 9″ x 13″ pan, cut in quarters. The total weight per box is about one pound, four ounces. Each box has a quarter of a pan of brookies and a quarter of a pan of shortbread that you can cut into whatever size pieces you’d like.

Ingredients:

Shortbread: King Arthur AP flour, Cabot unsalted butter, pure vanilla, confectionary sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, light Karo syrup, salt.

Brookies: butter, flour, white and brown sugars, Nestle or Ghiradelli semi-sweet chocolate bits, eggs, unsweetened cocoa, salt, baking powder, baking soda.

Each order contains: An 8″x 8″ box containing both Shortbread and Brookies (see pictures). Each order weighs approximately 1 lb. 4 oz.
